Thru-Axle Hubs: One of the most significant improvements on the Birdy R20 is the integration of front and rear thru-axles. Unlike traditional quick-release systems, thru-axles slide through closed dropouts and thread directly into the frame. This design drastically improves lateral and torsional stiffness, resulting in sharper steering response, more predictable handling in corners, and reduced flex under load—perfect for maximizing power transfer during sprints or climbs and reinstall the wheel.
Crucially, thru-axles also provide repeatable, consistent wheel alignment, ensuring that the high-performance hydraulic disc brakes remain perfectly aligned; minimizing rotor rub every time you remove and reinstall the wheel.
Customizable Double Riser Stem:Ensuring the perfect fit for aggressive or relaxed riding postures, the Birdy R20 features a newly designed Double Stem Riser. This 3D-forged double lock adjustable stem features a 10° angle that allows riders to easily fine-tune both their handlebar height and reach. This high level of cockpit adjustability means you can dial in your preferred riding position for an aerodynamic ride or a more upright posture for comfortable long-distance riding.
